Samuel D. Stevens
Stevens & Company is named after our founder, Sam Stevens, who has dedicated his life to serving the needs of First Nations people. Sam is an Algonkian from North Bay, Ontario and a member of the Kitigan Zibi Nation. He has been a practising lawyer since 1985, and was the first director in the Native Law Program at the University of British Columbia. He has also worked as an administrator in the Justice of the Peace program for the Northwest Territories.
Jennifer Trotti is Sam’s eldest daughter. She graduated from the University of British Columbia’s law program in 1994. Jennifer then worked as a negotiator with the federal government before joining Stevens and Company in 2010.
Lisa Holmgren is a solicitor with expertise in the areas of real estate, estate planning, administration, and business incorporations and acquisitions. Lisa worked several years as an associate in a large law firm in Vancouver. She brings this experience to her local Vancouver Island clients. Lisa has called the Parksville and Qualicum Beach area home for over 20 years. Lisa’s practice is focused on helping clients with the legal matters that arise when buying or selling a home or recreational property, planning their estate and administering estates. She also advises her clients on business formation, sales and acquisitions.
